We are proud to announce the 10th NEUROspine Meeting, the advanced course of the Swiss Society of Neurosurgery SSNS, which is supported by the Swiss Federation of Clinical Neuro-Societies SFCNS. On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to warmly welcome you to the Kursaal in Bern on November 04, 2020.
The upcoming meeting will cover the surgery of cervical pathologies including myelopathy and the decision making between fusion and arthroplasty. In our third joint session with AO-Spine, we will review tuberculous spondylitis (Pott’s disease) which has gained considerable importance given the constant migratory stream from Africa to Europe and the USA.
In the afternoon, a first focus will be directed at the interplay between the perceptive power of the brain regarding pain and mood disorders (e.g. anxiety and depression), followed by a technical excursion into sensor-based robotic spine surgery. On the occasion of the 10 year anniversary of Neurospine, Dr. Oliver Hausmann will review the highlights of the past 9 Neurospine meetings. Last but not least, the focus will be drawn onto the interplay between surgical and pharmacological therapy of osteoporosis and the impact of innovative drug combinations (simultaneously stimulating osteogenesis while blocking osteoclasts) on everyday clinical practice.
The attractive program should catch the attention of neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons with a strong interest in spine surgery, but also anesthesiologists, neurologists, rheumatologists, interventional radiologists, chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths.
We look forward to welcoming you to Bern.
